We would like to invite you to join the 97th Annual Conference of the Western Economic Association (WEA), to be held at the Hilton Downtown Portland, Oregon, 6/29-7/3, 2022. The WEAI has changed their submission procedures and requires everyone to register first before they can be put into a session.

That is now in play and the registration/submission portal is now open. Please refer to the attached “Registration and Submission for CEP Sessions” file. For all the other details regarding the conference, please refer to the attached “Call-Portland WEA22-1”. Please forward this to colleagues/friends that you think may be interested, as this is how we strive and grow!

We are optimistic we will hold a “normal” in-person conference (it is a LONG TIME coming, if you ask me). Of course, for our international participants, there “may” be travel requirements (such as proof of vaccination or negative COVID tests), but that is the new reality we live in. We hope any inconvenience will be at the minimum by the time the conference arrives.

There is a “virtual” option also, if that is what you choose; though the registration fee is the same. Again, thanks for your support and looking forward to shaking everyone’s hand, exchange our COVID stories and how that has impacted our teaching and research.
